Congrats. We are in year two of our full time adventure and loving it. Still happy with a 32' class A, but only one 90 lb. dog with us.

There are lots of different camping styles. A big help will be a willingness to adapt and find your own. Luck don't hurt either. The experience and info here is an extremely valuable resource.

Keep the car and get a trailer (RWD Mustang convertible) or get something towable? Can 2 people and 5 dogs survive in a 36 foot Class A? House is going on the market as soon as I get a couple of minor repairs done.

Six months from now I will either be thinking this was the best decision I ever made or wondering what the H*ll I was thinking...

Dave, I will venture a guess that it will have been the best move you ever made! The whole concept is scary but after you have begun selling and disposing of stuff you will really start getting enthused. There is a special feeling about getting rid of stuff and having everything in your coach. You will quickly be amazed at how you ever had enough time to get stuff done before! Going where you want and when you want is a very cool feeling. I really miss it. In 2005 my wife and I sold everything including the house and cars. The only thing we had left was our truck 5th wheel and what would fit in it and an industrial building our business was in and we couldn't sell.

Unfortunately we only got to full time for a year. Our renters of the building bailed on us and I had to go back to work to make the payment.

My biggest advice is make sure you have the money you need without cramping yourself much. We work amped for The first 4 months as I decompressed from working 60 hours a week+. Once I ramped down I was as mellow as a marsh!

It's a great life, I was 48 when we did that. I can't wait till I can do it again!

Ggod luck and enjoy my friend!

DW retired 2013. I retired last June. Have been downsizing at least 13 months. Have no idea where all this shtuff came from! We are down to a couple of odds ands going to either the MH or storage. We are sleeping in the MH until Friday when we walk out of the house for the last time and begin our full time adventure!
