We're the only ones I'd trust to drive em. Just imagine a 16 year old with his Itunes head phones on, texting his girlfriend...........

Great minds work alike. When I read the OP this exact thought popped into my head! Can you imagine?

It's not just 16 year olds, (God Forbid) I offered my son 39 years, and his family to use my 34 footer, he pulled it down from the storage area, must have been 50 yards, and when he got out of the drivers seat he started making motel reservations.
Must be something about youth

Also, I have seen some RV drivers that have no business pushing a lawn cart.....much less driving an RV.

The only ones I ever wonder about are the ones who are driving 80mph.

I worry more about the ones driving 50 mph in a 70 mph zone... These drivers cause more accidents then the ones driving at the speed limit.

As long as they are driving within the limits which are posted, 50 min 70 max then I have no problem with that. The accidents for those who are driving within the legal limits are usually because someone behind them are going too fast or not paying attention. My point is I see far too many RVs being driven well over the legal limits with a 15 to 20 ton vehicle on any road conditions.

Since when is 70-80 mph a good speed for any RV? Are you going to the races and your in first place?

Exactly. California leaves a lot to be desired but one thing I think they got right was the speed limit for anything towing anything... 55mph. Exceed that at your own risk. 62 and they never bother you... except on those "zero tolerance" days.

Agree, driving is a complex task that requires both motor and cognitive abilities. When I see a vehicle driving so slow I have to wonder if the driver is truly competent.

When I retired I slowed down, so did my speed-I never go faster than the truck speed limit, if I get to fast I feel like I'm not in control.
I am RVing not trying to get anywhere fast.

Me too... and I'm not wrapped so tight either so it doesn't bother me to have my motor/cognitive abilities and overall competence behind the wheel questioned because I choose to drive at a comfortable speed.
