What about your Med's
First time as sno birds and take meds 4 times a day. I have asked my Dr. if he will give me a 3 month supply but I can't swing the bill @ the drug store too have them all filled @ one time. Is there a place to get them in or around Quartzite Az to get a prescriptions refilled? is it difficult being I will be from out of state.
How do you do it?
Tim

If you buy your meds from a large corp that has nationwide stores, they should be able to fill any prescription for you anyplace in the country. We use Walmart.

We get ours on the road by using Walgreens. They are most everywhere like Walmart so we haven't had a problem.

We have been using K-Mart for years. We are flying snowbirds, not perchers.
We can call any K-Mart in the country and give them our scrips number and they will refill the same day. On a walk in basis I give them the bottle, tell them I am traveling and the longest I ever waited to get my refill was 20 minutes.
K-Marts are getting a little harder to find but their web site has a store finder.

We are VA and they send them to us monthly. Well we have them sent to our mail forwarding service and they forward them onto us when and where we want them mailed. We have a month or so extra of the meds so even if we tell them to wait a week or 2 it's no big deal. VA has no problem with the mail forwarding service since there are a lot of vets that use most of the more well known ones, especially for the snow birds.

Walmart will fill medication as long as it is not a narcotic. My wife had her meds filled in various locations this last summer .

CVS will do the same thing. If it is a "regulated" drug they have to wait for a copy of the script to be faxed from the original store, our your doctor,

As I recall there is a pharmacy in/near Quartsite... but it's been a while.. You can find a regular drug store in Blyth, CA (Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, I forget which) near the supermarket (Albertson's?) same plaza in fact I think next door.

You can get a 90 day prescription, but do not have to buy all 90 days worth at once.
I use insulin and buy a month at a time, both at WalGreens and at WalMart.

The wife had been using Walmart but they never seemed to be able to fill her orders complete so she has switched to Walgreens and has not had any problems. Good luck and hope you find a service close to your location.

We use Walgreens for our meds & Target for our poodle's meds. Just pick nationwide pharmacies.

O-O 2 of them are narcotic's. He will usually give me 3 prescriptions for ea month for both of them. I am glad there is a Walmart close by and a Walgreens that I have used in the past.. Think I will encounter a problem? Maybe I will call there or try a E-Mail. I am on insulin also.
Thanks, Tim

A lot depends on your insurance also.
We have Tricare insurance but it was dropped by Walgreens so we switched to CVS and Walmart still accept our insurance. We just pay the co-pays.
When had to fill our RX out of town use one of them.
So if your insurance is accepted by one of the major retailers your just left with the co-pays.
