Everything is small stuff!
We have stayed at Blackwell Island. Nice and clean and big sites. Hope to get back there again.

Prices all over the board. It's a wonder the propane industry doesn't have a price war over their prices.

Propane varies from $2.79 per gallon to about $3.39 per gallon, just depending upon where you purchase it. Camping world has a special price on Wednesday and sell it for 30 cents per gallon discount.

Saw it for $1.79 @ Costco in Bakersfield. I wonder if they are testing the market, it is not available at the local Costco's yet.

Yes, that is true, but they are not set up to dispense it into the permanent tanks of a motor home. They can only service the portable tanks - too bad because the price cannot be beat.

Besides that, don't you have to be a member to buy there?

That is the normal everyday price at Tractor Supply in McDonough, Ga. It is $3.69 at Ace Hardware a mile down the road.

Here in the Carson City area, there are 2 competing suppliers, Amerigas and Ferrell. The retailers that sell Ferrell are all selling for $1.79 a gallon. The ones that sell Amerigas are anywhere from @$2.29 to $2.79 a gallon. Often the competing dealers are right across the street from one another! I don't get it.

Friends, I have a confession to make. I've been reading all the threads about motorhome tires and I've had an epiphany of sorts. Up till now, I've always believed in looking for value in the marketplace. If I found an item for one dollar, and another item that does the same thing for 2 dollars, I've always bought the cheaper item. Now, thanks to the wisdom and guidance of my new friends, especially "alpha99", I've learned the error of my ways.

Obviously, the more expensive propane must be better propane! I don't know why I didn't see it before, but it's clear now. If it wasn't better, they wouldn't charge more! Simple, eh?

From now on, I'll search for the most expensive propane in town before I fill up! After all, I only want the absolute best in my coach!

Now I can relax and have fun! Thanks, alpha99!
