Topped off two of our propane tanks at Uhaul this afternoon, and was absolutely floored by the price they charged AFTER they finished filling... $4.29 per gallon!!! 7 gallons was $32.88 with tax.

I asked the guy to recalculate it, since I've never paid more than $15 to fill a completely empty tank at various locations prior to this. He added it a couple of times, but the total was still the same. That is definitely the last time I ever take a tank to Uhaul for propane.

We just spent a week in Fort Bragg, CA. Propane was $1.50 to 1.79 a gallon depending on where you stoped.

Never go to U-Haul total rip off.

$2.49 a gallon and measured with a state certified meter and pumped in so you get an accurate fill. But we only had a 5.5 gallon tank so I'm not too worried. Only the cooktop uses propane and I'm thinking about taking it out and putting in an induction unit. Not sure the DW would agree since she was raised using NG and that's what we've had in the stick house for almost 29 years.

Contracted for $1.25 for the winter for the S&B here in SD. But the same facility charges $3.50 per gallon for 5 gallon tanks or motor homes. Highway robbery so have never used them to fill my MH and usually get LP while traveling where it is more reasonable.
