What did you do for New Year's?

We went to Las Vegas (by air) to ring in the New Year. It was too cold to even consider camping there (besides, the town was a zoo). It even got down into the 20s while we were there.

We stayed at The Mirage and saw "The Beatles Love" show at the hotel. I highly recommend it!

What did you do?

We went camping up around Ridgecrest in the desert for a few days of fun and riding dirt bikes. It was cold like you said, got down to 19 New Years Eve and warmed up to the high 40's during the day. And of course, I got sick so did not ride my bike or hang out too much with all of our friends. Packed up and came home Sat. morning.

A really exciting evening. I came home from work had a quick meal of leftovers, went out to the garage and worked until about 10 PM putting finishing touches on our new race sled. I did sip a couple beers.
Came into the house, took a quick shower, played on the computer a few minutes, laid on the couch to watch TV while my wife was napping in her recliner and I fell asleep.
I woke up a little after midnight and went to bed.
Happy New Year!

Hot time in Upstate NY. Had a beer, watched a couple video movies, split a split of cheap champagne with my DW and was in bed by 12:15 after seeing the Times Square ball drop. Only just so much fun allowed and reached my limit for New Years eve

I forget how many years that I have missed the ball drop at midnight. But truth be told I have not missed it. In bed reading at 10, asleep by 11.

Drove from The Villages, Fl to Louisville, Ky.... 13-1/2 hours in the Chevy Suburban...

And for an encore... I drove the final leg from Louisville, Ky to Milwaukee, WI, with a detour thru Cincinnati to have lunch with friends on New Year's Day...

BIG Fun !!

We spent New Years eve in our motor home. Grand kids by our side. We drove almost 3000 miles from Md to Wa to be with them for the holidays.
