A LOT of jobs ...
Primarily I have spent the most time (32 years) in the Telephone Industry, starting out with Mid-Continent Telephone in 1969 (Meadville Tel. Co. ), moving to Pacific NW Bell ( ) in 1971, where I was a Lineman for 20 years and then Installation/Repair and Cable Maint. for 10 more years. I retired in Jan. 2003 with a 'buy-out' when it was QWEST ( ), went back to school, drove a city bus for a couple of years and finally said 'enough already!'. I've worked in canneries, water well drilling, paper mills, hospitals, firefighter in 2 cities, and EMT. I spent 22 months in Viet-Nam as a medic and X-Ray Tech, and 3 years with the 12th Special Forces Group in Portland, OR as the 'B' Team Medic. Overall ... the +'s have vastly outnumbered the -'s.
My wife Shirlee has been with a local (Vancouver, WA) Credit Union for 30+ years and will be retiring in July this year (2009). That's when the 'fun' begins as we search for the motorhome of our dreams.

Award winning Army cook???!!!??? That's an oxymoron (I'm retired Army Intelligence, which is the ULTIMATE oxymoron!).

Hey Golden! Just kidding. I won "Cook of the Quarter" a couple of times and was runner up for "Cook of the Year". Not so much for my cooking skills, but basic cooking knowledge. Trust me,I'm a much better cook 23 years ,and many more pounds, later!!

Back at my old job training the people who ran the department on how to do the job because no one had any idea. When they let us go, all documentation and information pertaining to everything about our department went out the door with us.

Paper boy, grass cutter, manager in fast food restaurant. Went to college and became a computer geek. Worked for 15 years in defense and pharmaceutical analyses.
Started own pharmaceutical sales and marketing consulting company in 2000 and still at it.
DW was home for 20 years with the boys. Now she just opened an athletic store.
Cubmaster for 9 years and Scoutmaster for 6 years (still going). That's where the rewards come from.
Retire? Sometime after the last one goes to college...
