What do you do

What do you do when you go out in your rv? I go to a campgrounds and walk to the beach or lake to swim if close by or walk around town or drive to town, get out and walk around town. May go shopping or find a nice restaurant for dinner. We go to state parks to see whats there. Sometime we just sit in our chairs under the awning. We are not into sports like baseball, football and we don't fish.
I usually wave or say hello to people at the campground and meet alot of nice people. It seems to me that some people do not want to be bothered, some want to talk a few minutes and some just ignore you. I often see people leaving in their toad but they come back and go back in their rv. We look for town events and local attractions and may go to watch a movie. Not a member of Escapees or anything like Shriners, Moose or Elks. I seem to stay really busy and not enough time in a day to do all the things I find to do while camping. I try to make a schedule but never stick to it. I mostly chill out and take things easy. I am not a full timer and still working for 3.6 years. Usually plan a 4 or 5 day stay then head home to my stick house. If you are retired and not a full timer then what do you do?

Full Timed for 7 yrs....then bought home 2yrs. ago.

Camping before/then/now.........minimum of 4 days prefer 7

Try and go someplace different whenever possible so that we can go 'adventuring' around the area.
Depending on area that might be strolling around the town/city seeing/enjoying the sights---even the 'touristo' places.Could be hopping in truck and going on a 200--300 mile driving loop sight seeing
Could be roaming around the CG meeting/greeting
Could just be parking my rear-end in lounge chair under the awning with a tall cold drink and a good book

Rarely plan anything...just go and see what comes up

We usually like to hang out in the CG the first day and relax, walk around see what's going on, check things out and see what there is to do in or around the CG. We always meet people and like to talk ect., many times they will come back by our place or us their's later that day and chat. You are right some people seem like they don't want to be bothered, but that's no big deal as there are always people who want to talk.

If there is a town close by that we can walk to, we like to do that and see what there is to do. When we bring our car with us we like to spend a few days driving around the area see the sights and maybe check some other CG's we might want to stay at. We always look for a good local restaurant to try, one that you don't have near home. We really don't make any real plans until something we really want to do piques our interest.

We generally like to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors, but sometimes we go inside to play cards, watch TV ect, especially if its cold or rainy. I guess the bottom line is whatever we feel like at the moment. We are retired so we have no rush to get home, even though we spend a good deal of time babysitting our grandkids when home.

What ever I want. Sometimes take one of the cats for a walk on a leash, sometimes polish the wheels, sometimes polish the rig itself, sometimes build a fire at night, sometimes I watch TV with my eyes closed.
You know, just what ever I feel like doing or maybe I do nothing since I started doing that yesterday and I didn't get finished!

We travel and usually stay in one spot for 2-3 days unless we have a specific event we are attending. We like to see what is available in the local area, in particular local history. We will take in museums and historical sites. We will also look for flea markets as they give another glimpse of the local area.

We took a month trip to NM last year and spent several days in Oklahoma City visiting the Memorial and the Cowboy museum. Spent time in Albuquerque for the International Balloon Festival , visited the Old Town area and some of the other local shops. Then up to Santa Fe, visited Old Town, art shops, farmers market. We were in Santa Fe for 3 full days and spent 2 days just relaxing at the campground. Los Alamos, museum, drive up to the Caldaria with some hiking to a waterfall, and also a day trip to Bandelier National Park. Taos, Old Town, Rio Grande overlook, and several of the pottery shops. Down to Las Cruses, old town area, local shops, Railroad Museum.

I like to get out and see as much as possible, my wife likes to takes some time and relax so we do both.

We chill out, fish, and take the three Amigos (3 Chihuahuas ) and cook, but mainly take it easy, that is a great relief from all the work at the farm.

We like to visit the local towns. Thrift shops and antique stores are fun. Any history sites are great too.

We usually spend at least half of one day Geocaching. More if there are good ones nearby.

Enjoy a couple of cold beers. One at a time of course. Little projects on the coach are fun. Otherwise just relaxing, enjoying the time away with the wife.
