What does everyone think of Winnebago Vista Class A MH's

Were thinking on a new 2016/17 Winnebago Vista 29E with one slide from front to back on the drivers side, it comes with all the bells and whistles that most have except for a washer and dryer which we can do without as I can still beat my clothing on a Rock and Scrub Board and hang to dry?
Also comes with 178" WB which is 20" longer than the old style 158"WB.

A friend has the '14 "Tour" and has had a lot of issues w/ slides. I'd stay away from Winnebago period.

I don't think this is a very fair statement to make. The slide mechanism has nothing to do with the actual Winnebago coach, in fact the same type is used in other coaches besides Winnebagos. The Vista is more of a beginner model but I think they are good coaches and a lot better quality than some of the others out there on the market.

My only experience with a Vista is my friends 2016. The steps into his coach are really steep and his wife fell out once. If you are young that may not be a problem but she is in her 70's. It was a scary thing but no broken bones thankfully. Just think about carrying things in and out on those steps. She was bringing out a bowl of food as we were cooking out when it happened. Otherwise they are happy with it.

Go to the Winnebago owner's forum and read. Lots of problems with slides, levelers, and power awnings. Winnebago customer service is backlogged due to all the slide issues. A full wall slide is very heavy and there are stories of them extending while the MH is going down the road. It's a big investment and frightening prospect if you get a lemon. If there are just a few problems, why is Winnebago taking 45 minutes to answer their phones? I cancelled plans to buy a new MW after learning all this.

We looked at some Vistas a year or so ago when looking to replace our old Hurricane. Looked nice in the pictures, but when we went in them was disappointed with the fit and finish as compared to the lower end Newmar which we ultimately purchased.

Many people like their choice of the Vista, just did not fit what we were looking for.

When we were shopping we looked at them and the deal breaker was the lack of room for the passenger foot area, there was no room in front of the passenger seat do to the placement of the heater box, we found that to be the case with all of the gas winnis. We moved on to other brands and found this to only be a winnebago issue.

You probably are just wondering about newer Vistas, but the 2013 Vista 27n we bought new, and the 2012 Vista 32k we now own have treated us well. We traded the 2013 this spring for the 2012 because it was a bunk model and better accommodates our 5 grandkids.
