I have to agree with Mel s, 100% on that one. Aclose second would be adjustable ignition points for my chevy, huh, they don't use them anymore?. Well how about the little side vent windows ,manually twist open or crank open type. OK,OK then it has to be the bag cell phone, nice big numbers, easy to dial while driving, cops never stopped you for driving distracted, oh those were the days.
56 and right now feel much older..........

Mel,

Common sense was never invented.

You are either born with it or your not.

You can't educate yourself with common sense, your can't learn it from your parents, your siblings or your friends.

It is in your genes and chromosomes so if your parents have super common sense then chances are you will also.

True
The only thing "common" about common sense is that everyone believes they have some.

Amen on the jet engine! The DC-7 came out with the Wright 3350 engines and the PRT's (power recovery turbines) The engine almost broke Delta Air Lines. At one time we were averaging 7 hours between engine changes. The jet engine came along on the DC-8 and we suddenly almost quit having engines failures. The cost to overhaul the jet engine was half of the overhaul cost of the 3350. I also came home a lot cleaner after working on the Pratt & Whitney jet engines.
