What is the difference between a thread started in "general discussion" or "just conversation"?

Sure seems like my brand of humor and my style of comments get deleted more than the average, so I am learning to be more "IRV2" correct in my postings, however, being that this is just conversation, I figure we can drift all over the place.

That is why we upgrade our suspensions and do alignments to avoid drifting...
