I haven't always been the Saint I am today!
I used to run the beer joints and clubs like a crazy man. My friends started calling me rockintom, cause I was always rockin' and rollin'. It's that simple. Oh, those were the days.

What's in a name. Motojavaphil came to me due to my caffeinated ways. Riding Ducati motorcycles was my downfall. We'd meet at the local coffee shop before we went out to terrorize the motoring public. It became worse at the racetrack, would not get on the track without lightning bolts from the cup. Good coffee became a passion riding hundreds of miles for the ultimate brew and I was not alone in this pursuit. The discriminating palate has few choices in this plebeian coffee world. This fact came home to me when I awoke at a rally, having consumed too many Texas Spirits, and sought coffee. The rally coffee was swill , lacking the rehabilitative essence of good coffee much less satisfaction to the palate . Some day I will sell this stuff!

I've followed this thread off and on for a few years but never replied because up until yesterday my user name was Bob Russo. Story behind that was obvious.

I changed to "Nonno" because just like there was a time when I was no longer known as Bob Russo but instead was proudly known as Steve or Teresa's dad, today I'm proud to be known as my grandchildren's grandfather. Nonno is Italian for grandfather.
Bob Russo
Formerly had 07 Neptune 36PDQ, ISB 325, Allison 2500, Source Trailing Arms and Ride Enhancement Kit, Demco KarKaddy 460SS.
Currently no Motorhome

Hi Bob! Silly me, I thought non no meant "yes". Congrats on being a grandfather, I'm confident you will be a good one.

I worked for a elec. utility for 38yrs. We had company call numbers assigned to our 2 way radios . It was a practice to not say the first 2 numbers because they were the same for everyone and only say the last 2 numbers. After I made manager my number was 7401, thus Oh-one.

Long ago, in my other life, I was a Mercedes Benz technician. If you have ever heard a well tuned older Mercedes diesel engine at idle speed, well thats where my name came from. This was back before electronic control of the injectors and quiet diesels. Every thing then was pure mechanical, totally repairable, and reliable, but not necessarily quiet. I still have one that I have owned for over 30 years.

Mine is way to simplistic: "t is for Thomas" and "mar10 is Martin." No strange relationship or story to go with it.
