What is this marine vessel?

This boat is on a beach on Sauvie Island near Portland, Oregon.
Anyone have any info?

It's an old lifeboat of some form by the looks of it. Either that or a crew boat, for getting workers on and off a drilling platform or island.

The mostly enclosed deck with small portholes is quirk of lifeboat design generally.

Google it, I'm sure someone has had the same thought previously.

Doesn't look like anything the Marines would have. Probably some Navy boat!

LOL! Life boat is a good guess. Looks like it holds a lot of people out of bad weather and in rough seas.

Concur. I think I see the raised steering platform (island) at one end, seen in the last pic. There should be an entry port on the other side.
