It is GREED.
Oil companies do NOT set prices on oil.
Speculators buy shares of oil , cause a panic with a rumor, price goes up, they sell the shares and make a killing out of thin air.
Just the facts.

Same price games going on here in FL as well. One town may have it at $3.19, then down the street a bit it's $3.32. No consistancy in this pricing game. Same with diesel. A friend filled up in Webster at $3.90 and when we got back to Zephyrhills it was $3.76.

Before you chastise big oil for a return to their shareholders please read this article published this morning in the Houston Chronicle.

Fuel Fix Record profit eludes Big Oil as costs outpace brent gain

It was reported on foxnc that the industry states that they are switching over to summer blends of gas, which is more expensive to produce. Remember to change over to your summer blend of water soon.

Funny, that's what they claimed last fall when switching over to "winter blend".

The middle east is heating up again. Every time an Arab shakes his fist, oil rises.

My DW frequently tells me, "it doesn't matter" to many of my questions. After I think about it awhile, I usually figure out she is correct. We're going RVing!

If it skyrockets again, mayhaps it'll tank the prices some more on the big 5th Wheels .

News this evening, Exxon made 40 BILLION in profit last year. Guess it wasn't enough.

Where as oil prices used to rise and fall due to all the 'reasons', take note now it follows the stock market. That has nothing to do with supply and demand.
