Could classify me as what I don't listen to: hip hop and rap and teenie bopper music like lady gaga and the like ..not sure how else to label that stuff.

Love fiddlers, jazz, rock, oldies are a big fav, easy listening, some classical, celtic. Some country if it doesn't involve lost girl friend or dog houses ... lol -- cash and willie and a few of the older performers. Old blue eyes and did it my way is a big time favorite single song.

Into learning the pennywhistle at the moment. Have played the cello and organ. Mouth harp is alot of fun.

As a songwriter/singer I love any "good" music. hip hop and rap and teenie bopper noise isn't even music "IMHO". I mainly write country but these days the good ole country stuff doesn't sell. All you hear is bad rock & roll sung with a country twang. I also program computers so I programmed a jukebox program for my computer and put 5,000 songs on it. I hook it up to a 5 speaker system in the RV and let it rip.

Done a lot of entertaining Over 70 years. Heck I remember when Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, And RJ Richerdson Were considered Hard Rock;; I like country. Mostly I can hear and understand the words; Altho it has changed a lot over the years , It's still my favorite;; Life is good ..

I will listen to almost anything. I am not saying for how long I will listen to it . My current collection is 500 albums. Yes, as in records & and around 1000 cd's. I have most of it on an 32 gig Itouch that plugs into my system in the Coach. 10,000 songs and counting One of my other hobbies is high end vintage stereo equipment. I have 8 or 10 different pairs of speakers. 8 amps of different brands and 6 turntables and about 6 or so cd players.

My music of the month... Robert Cray "I was Warned" & Eva Cassidy "Eva By Heart" Very good stuff!!!

Hey Jim, I agree with you......I kinda feel like the country music of the last ten years is the rock music of the 60's and 70's. I think that's why we like it. Anyway, enjoy it all. Dave

"Hut Sut Rawlson on the Rillerah" plays over and over in my head. I think I'm going nuts. And these people thought Rock n Roll was bad.

Celtic, Christian radio station on my long work commute (keeps the road rage at bay ), classical, golden oldies, big band, opera (except can't stand Wagner), what today is called classic rock. Don't care for most country - the nasal stuff.

Tried that but the dash radio does not like the computer as audio source (it has line in) I have a work-around however.. I an put many hours on one disc and re-burn the disc every day (ATRAC encoded, not MPG)

I must admit I do like the video for "Trailerhood" though.

I also occasionally put lyrical pen to paper.. but not often. And nothing you'd likely have heard.

I bought the DW a CD/MPG radio for her Jag. Got it on Ebay for $75. Now I make up 4 discs, country, rock, blues and easy/folk with about 200 songs on each for her and she has days worth of music. What's life worth without music?

I'm scheduled to play in late September at the Pensacola Fl songwriters fest. If you all like country, original music it's a great time. 10 stages in 10 different clubs with music on them 16 hours a day for 5 days.

To those of you who've never heard of SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughan), he's probably THE greatest blues guitarist ever to play an electric 6-string. Check him out on this video, especially at the 7:34 mark -

" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

Notice the clean notes. This guy can really make that Stratocaster sing like no other.
