Continuing on with car-related threads....

What was your dream car while growing up?

Mine:

I've only seen one of these in public. It was white and my Army buddies and I were in Panama City Beach FL when it happened. I could NOT believe how low the thing sat.

What's yours ?

My dream car is 1966 Chevelle SS convertible with a 396, bucket seats and 4 speed. The prices keep going up and up. A REALLY nice, fully restored one costs almost as much as my RV!

Chevy, Automatic, new interior, top, & carpets. rear spare, CD player-triple white-Florida car-1st titled in New York. Here is another of our most popular 1952 MGTD cars, that can be driven as a daily driver, & was built in 1988, & titled as a 1988 Custom, & powered by an economical 4 cylinder Chevy engine, with an automatic transmission, rack & pinion steering, & very easy to drive, with a brand new white top, new white interior, new carpets, new am/fm/stereo with CD player, and we just had new white side curtains custom made for the car. solid wood dash with matching wood steering wheel, 6 classic styled white face gauges, rear mounted spare tire with cover, chrome rims with wire baskets, bumper uprights, side wind deflectors, badge bar, 4 badges, Euro styled front tag, twin fog lamps, front MG emblem with a Moto Meter hood ornament, 3 rear view mirrors, rear wheel drive, 14" radial tires, fiberglass body, that will never, ever rust.easy to maintain, with Chevy parts. 32,000 miles in 22 years-so that's less than 1500 miles a year. will keep up with traffic, & turns heads & gets thumbs up everywhere. way too much fun.

Purple,

Interesting choice.

But for some reason or another, that Alpine head unit looks really out of place in a car like that.

Maybe I'm just a purist....

It was really a toss-up between that Countach and this.

I remember reading that this car could easily do the 0-100 mph-0 in less than 10 seconds. I can only imagine what that would feel like.

Awesome car.

(BTW, I applaud you people who have finally achieved the financial means of acquiring your dream car. That's great !).

I, however, will continue dreaming about that Countach and the Cobra....

A guy down the street from me has a Cobra, same color etc.
After I got out of the AF in 55, the first sports car I bought was a 52 MG TC. Sold that and later picked up a 55 Austin Healey. Wish I had either one back. My real Dream Car has always been the MB Gull Wing Coupe. Used to hang out and Pit Crew with some of the Sports Car Racing bunch back in the Day, as they say.

Great pics and rides that you guys have. Mine growing up was the '68 Charger with the Hemi. I did own a '68 with a 383. My folks thought I'd end up killing myself with the Hemi. They were probably right!
