My first car. A '55 Ford Victoria bought for $50. Put alcohol in the gas tank so my girlfriend could see fire coming out of the exhaust. I tried (and failed) to be so cool for her

My mother crazy. I was five, riding a spiffy Schwinn I got for Christmas. Mom was driving a used (1960, I think) tan & white Buick.

50 years ago I was driving a 1959 White Pontiac Bonneville Tudor Coupe.

See first photo. (Google)

My very first car was a 1950 Green Pontiac Chieftain four door with a Flat 8 engine that I bought for $50 from a customer on my paper route.

See second photo. (Google)

15 years old and used to drive my fathers car (without his permission). would always get the car back in the driveway just before he had to go to work. He had ten miles to the nearest gas station and I'm sure it must have been touch and go a few times. I think he thought he had the best heater ever made, because it didn't matter if it was 40 below zero that car was often warm seconds after he got in it...Mom always said she never knew how I lived through my teens
