Daughter and son-in-law got me a 110v, 2 gal, 100 psi, air compressor. Weights maybe 15/20 lbs and will fit in a storage bay.

No more driving until I locate a truck service center with a pump that will put out 80 psi., then worrying because the tires are hot and forgetting the spares.

The tank holds 100 psi. allowing for use in route if necessary.

Just in time for the Lancaster trip, see ya all tommorow afternoon.

What did you guys get?

Here's what I got:

From my wife - any GPS unit of my choice (I think I'm going for the Garmin 2620 -- any ideas?)

From my two adult sons - Starbuck gift cards (one from each!)

From my granddaughter (3 years old)- a BIG hug.

I really LOVE the hug the most - I'm sure I'll enjoy the rest

I just got the 2620 also (had to buy it myself though) and I love it.

I got a $20 gift certificate from audible.com. I enjoy listening to audio books on my ipod when I'm walking or hiking.

My wife let me spend the day as I wanted so I took a 466 mile ride on my Goldwing. Unfortunately on my way up to flagstaff . We stopped on the road as a Diesel Pusher caught fire. Everyone got out OK as far as I could tell, but it took the fire truck 20 min to get on site. There was nothing that could be done, it was a total loss. When we went by, you couldn't even tell what it was. The ride was great and I loved the cooler weather up North.

I got a call from my 47 yr.old daughter telling me what a great Dad I have been and how she appreciated the values we had given her. I told her we only did the best we knew how but I felt she & her siblings turned out very well in spite of us. She didn't agree. That sure made my day.

Well I spent the day in/on our "Water RV" with my wife and two of our daughters.

We launched at "Marina Del Ray" in Madisonville, LA. We out to Lake Ponchatrain and rode across to Pass MAnchac which is about a 20 mile run. We met my Mom and Dad at a place called "Middenorfs" which is in Manchac, LA on I-55. It just so happens to have a boat dock.

After that we rode back out to Lake Ponchatrain. The lake was almost glasslike, so the kids rode the "Super Tube" for a couple of hours. THen we went to a beach at the mouth of a river named Tchefunta at the lake. We anchored and swam for a while. Then around 1600 hrs (4pm) we eased over to a place called "T Rivers". THey have a live band every Sunday afternoon. We hung out there for a hour or so then rode up river for super. Supper was at Mortons in Madisonville. After supper we loaded "Rat Patrol" on the trailer at around 1900 hrs (7pm) and headded home.

Needless to say I had a GREAT day with my family on the water. I't just don't get much better than that.

We are planning to hook-up and head out again next weekend. (If it does not look like it will rain all weekend) I will most likely do a two day trip then. Do Saturday with one daughter and some of her friends. THen I will spend the night o the "Water RV" and Cathy, our youngest daughter and some of her friends will ride over Sunday. Then I will load up and come home late Sunday. Heck, I may even go over Friday night and spend two nights on the boat......

Oh yea, while I was headded back from Middeorfs crossing the lake I called Rick Koelsh (Wagonmaster for the 2005 rally) and held the phone up so he could hear the 200 Merc's singing thier tune at cruzin speed. Of course it was ALSO to see how much fun we were missing in PA. Stuff happened that kept us away this year. BUT, I'll sure be at the 2006 Rally!!!

I got a new pool filter and pump. The old filter was throwing sand into the pool and the pump was on it's last leg.

I got to have a fun filled day steam cleaning the carpets.

I did get to go out to dinner which is more of a present for the wife than me.

I told my wife I wish I had the present we gave her for Mother's day. We pulled into Fort Wilderness for 10 days at Disney last month
