Mr. D,
My monitor was in the dash but I had to move my eyes down of course which is not optimum. Early on I modified the monitor so I could pull it out and attach it to the dash with a velcro mount. I liked it in that position so much I bought a Ram mount and put it up there permanently. It can be swung down and out of the way so the dogs can jump over it when we are parked. The new radio was then mounted at the upper section of the new panel so it was more usable as well.

The GPS and Monitor are in perfect view so there are no distracting visits to the monitor as when it was too low.

We have a nice built in area in the top center of the dash to put stuff which I don't like a bunch of. Wife has her box of Kleenex, my wallet and that is about it. Nothing else to collect dust and get in the way. Also have a pull out glove box type of storage in front of passenger seat for maps, pens and other nick nack.

Nothing on the dashboard!

When living in it, (or in storage), we keep the windshield covered in insulation foil. And my coach has the drop-down overhead bunk which completely blocks the windshield view.

There is a 12v Fantastic Fan Endless Breeze fan that lives on the center of the dash aimed at the living area when parked.

So, being as there is no view anyway, when living in the coach the dash becomes a convenient temporary storage shelf for small kitchen electric appliances that can be grabbed as meal desires develop on a whim.

Everything gets properly stowed when we hit the road, and it returns to a whole lot of nothing.

Well, my half is clean, I don't leave anything in from on of me as the reflection in the glass bugs me.

My wife's side however has books, magazines, dog leashes, and an occasional dog.

To the right of my steering wheel I built a small rotating shelf that has my TPMS on it and my Garmin GPS mounted on the side. The rotating allows my wife to turn the GPS in her direction if she want to look at something on input an address etc.

To the left of the steering wheel I have my Silverleaf laptop mounted on a stand.

All the gadgets are within easy reach and easy to look at.

Last I heard (at the GS rally in Phoenix last Feb/March) the glass dashes were going down to about $6,500.

Is that completely installed? I know the price of the Glass Dash is $4,995. It takes more to install it on some makes than others.

I am getting mine installed in April. I am also going to keep my original Silverleaf, have a new dash panel plus sub panels made. Should look pretty nice, now to decide what info I want displayed. Figuring about $6.5K for what I want. Way cheaper than a new coach
