I wouldn't be surprised if he had Gout. Nasty stuff that can make getting a shoe on one or both feet nearly impossible due to the pain.

Shoot... gout will make having a bed sheet on your foot hurt! I know! (crazy that I got an old mans disease when I was only about 27 & a girl)

Different shoes reminded me that last year for Easter I went to my then bf's family easter picnic in Long Beach (where my parents were also joining us) where I was to meet most of his family for the first time. Only about an hour into it I realized that I had two different black flat dress shoes on!

When I was vacuuming my bedroom before a dune trip, I moved my shoes. Little did I know that when I put them back, I mixed them up. When I got to the dunes, one guy made fun of me for not wearing matching shoes. My comeback was that at least I could afford two pair of shoes to mix up.

It’s the generator ya big dummy incident

Ok so this guy is two weeks into ownership of his first diesel pusher motor home. It’s a Sunday morning and he’s on his way back home from his second weekend camping trip. He and the wife decide to pull into a long dead shopping center parking lot that has a McDonalds in an out parcel. Parks parallel to a couple of semi trailer trucks and decides to leave the diesel generator running so that the two roof mounted air conditioners will keep the coach cool while ordering food to go inside McDonalds. (big motor homes don‘t do fast-food drive throughs well) So… food in hand… back to the coach for a leisurely McDonalds breakfast in the air conditioned comfort of the mobile dinning room. Life is good so now it’s time to hit the road for the remainder of the trip home. Back in the driver’s seat. Seat adjusted, seat belt on, foot on brake peddle, release parking brake, tap the drive button on the control panel of the mighty 6 speed Allison transmission… nothing! What the heck… Even the indicator that shows what gear is selected is dark! Here it is on a Sunday morning with a broke motor home and now what am I going to do? Ah… I mean now what is this guy going to do? Wait a minute… that engine you hear running is the diesel generator running in the front of the coach, not the -real- Diesel engine in the back of the coach ya big dummy! Yup, start engine, laugh, engage transmission, drive home. Another lesson learned… many more to go.

So let me see if I have this correct… You’re a certificated commercial pilot for how many years? And you’re just now figuring out that the Cummins diesel in the back of the motor home needs to be running to make this thing move? Yup… that’s about the size of it. <small grin offered>

Once saw a guy with a cardboard sign on a exit ramp that said, "Running for President, need campaign funds."
