whats this country comming to

Please folks lets don't make this political:

The entire down town of Tampa has been shut down; twelve foot fence with barbed wire; streets blocked off cement baracades ever where; 2700 police on alert with riot gear potroling the streets; national guard there also; store fronts borded up and closed. I:ve seen war zones that didn;t look like this.
Whats this country comming to??
I:m realy saddened by this.

Difficult not to make it political,,,,,, when it is all due to a political convention. The stores boarded up could be either from the owners not wanting windows broken out by protesters or a sign someones economic recovery plan isn't working real good.

For years, in the name of “social justice”, we have been lowering our standards. The Romans invited the barbarians through their gates. We ar breeding our own barbarians.

I'm just guessing here, but isn't it pretty normal to board up storefronts when there is the threat of a hurricane? Same thing with additional police. Last time I checked hurricanes didn't have to declare their political affiliation.
