What's up with people?
Really just venting here
People seem to fall into 2 general categories in my simple mind...
First, your outside just doing your thing, someone walks by, you say hello and they say hello and exchange a couple/few words about the weather, nice day, or whatever...sometimes even striking up a brief friendly conversation.
Second, your outside just doing your thing, someone walks by, you say hello and they ignore you totally, possibly grunt a no eye contact hi, and keep on going without so much as a simple common courtesy gesture of any kind. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT asking them in for a beer, a date, or a loan, or anything else...just trying to be nice.
Summary...I guess there are many campers out there that are, or are very close to being downright rude!
Ok...I feel better now! Wait...NO I don't!

I guess I've just been lucky! I don't remember ever running into another RV'er that fits your second category!

Can't recall ever experiencing that which you describe in your second category of people.
Best regards and safe travels...

Probably the same people who light up the campground like Fremont Street in Las Vegas.[emoji6]

Come on by, say HI and sit for a while! I almost always have a chair available.

Second Camp: Perhaps English is not their first language and they don't feel comfortable.

Some people just seem to go through life spring-loaded to the POed position. What's that old saying? "It must suck to be you."

Just can't let it go, can you...Actually those are usually the friendliest people.
We have only had the second one happen a few times and just figure they are not much for talking, or had other issues on their mind. Most say Hi, chit chat for a few and then continue on. Then we've had the ones you say Hi to, and they come and sit for a while. We have actually met a few people we have things in common with that way and still keep in touch and RV together every so often.

Well, if the folks who are unable to support their opinions with facts hadn't hijacked the appropriate thread dragging it down with juvenile silliness I would be happy to continue to participate in a sincere debate on the subject.

I'm an introverted person until I feel absolutely comfortable around people I don't know. Could offer a million reasons for it but it doesn't change it. Had an extreme exchange of opinions with a coworker who insisted on knowing every detail about my life.
