I didn't read all the posts so if this is redundant, I apologize. People that don't extinguish their camp fires before going to bed or leaving the CG.

People that post on social media "At the Doctors office". Well is it a hang nail, heart attack, hemorrhoids? Or do you just need attention? I refuse to ask.

They just want to let the burglars know when it's safe to come!

I am a rider and I don't understand that either. Some of the guys I ride with do that and it drives me crazy, I will ride way back or in front of them, so if they get hit it doesn't take me out as well.

When motorcycle riding with a group they recommend a staggered formation. The lead rider is normally left of lane center in the lane followed by the second rider right of lane center usually a second or two behind the lead rider. Third rider is left of lane center a second or two behind rider #2 and fourth rider is right of lane center a second or two behind rider #3. Any additional riders would follow that same formation for the entire group.

Group riding is far safer than riding single as most vehicle driver's will NOT see a single rider but will see a large group of riders.

The other reason not to ride in the center of the lane is that's where most of the oil drips accumulate from vehicles which could make that area of the road very slippery under certain conditions.

However, it is very unsafe to hug the lane divider lines as the rider is now susceptible to getting clipped from an extended mirror or a drifting driver.

As always when driving any vehicle look twice for motorcycles or when driving a motorcycle drive defensively and cautiously as your life WILL depend on it.

I don't post on social media about being at the Doctor's office or anywhere else for that matter, but with the above being considered, I might say...

"at the gun Range, but on my way home, because I forgot to secure the tiger..."
