Where are the gals on iRV2?

Nothing against the guys on the forum, but I've wondered how many posters are women. As I read through a lot of threads (and post to a few), it seems that the vast majority of active members are men.

My DH wants me to pose questions since I have the laptop and he doesn't like to type on his phone or tablet (although he seems at ease with ordering vast quantities of fishing stuff from ebay).

So, ladies..

Who reads but seldom posts?

Who posts some under their partner's name?

Who has their own login and start or reply to threads?

If you don't post, why not? (I know that answering will count as a post )

Inquiring minds want to know!

Hi Karen. I have my own log in. My DH has his, but seldom comes on here. I am on quite a bit and I do voice my opinion on different post, but not the technical stuff, although I do read them if I think it will teach me something. I have posted questions on different issues we have had and I relay the info to DH. In the past I welcomed new members, and I really need to start doing that again. I enjoy this forum and usually am on 3-4 times a week. I feel like I should know as much as possible since we are fulltimers and never know when that info could come in handy.

I'm here, we're kinda new to this forum but not to RVing. Bought 1st RV in 2007. Just got our 2nd in Jan. of this year. Hub and I use the same login, just easier that way. Our username is a personalized plate from the car we don't tow. As far as posting we both post and answer but we sign our name above the sig. so you know if it is ken or cyn that's posting. In 259 days will be retired and gonna spend 3 months in the southern US. Gonna be part timers for a while.

I'm here. I know my handle is confusing, which is why I sometimes sign my posts using my name. I always post threads and reply by myself as I am a solo rver. Been full time for about 3 years, have always been surprised to find so few females that either full time or even drive the RVs.

Female poster here

Gal here....we bought our RV last April. We are co-learning as a team. I usually post, and DH follows a Facebook page and I follow this.

Yep. Gotta keep some estrogen in here so the guys don't run amok with it.

Hubby discovered this forum way back when it was an itty bitty thing with about 5000 registered members. But it's my user name/avatar & I'm the one who does all the posting. I guess I yak enough, they made me an Administrator. Only a few hundred posts more 'til I earn my blue flame.

I drive the coach (on occasion), driven the TT/SUV, 5-r/truck prior & with the generous help of our members, have been able to do a fix or two. Co-chaired 2 iRV2 Nat'l rallies & it's pretty much me deciding where/when we go in the Bounder.

This is the best Forum for RV-rs, IMO...especially us gals. Everyone's so helpful.

I guess I'm a "lurker". I own my vintage '89 ,24' Ultra by Gulfstream class C. I don't get on here nearly as often as I'd like, and consider visiting this site an escape...I do enjoy reading as many of the posts as I can that are of interest to me. Mostly like the vintage, Class C and remodel posts. Always on the look out for information to improve my rv experience. Thank you for your post re: ladies on here... Good to see you all here too!

I post here occasionally as well ...
I have a vintage airstream and am in the process of restoring a second one. My neighbors just love me....

BTW - thanks for calling us "Ladies"

Today I have black polishing rouge under my nails, sore hands from using the rivet gun and shredded knees in my jeans. The lady-ish trappings are mia today.

Another "gal" here - my husband never posts, he asks me to do it for him since I am the better typist. We're newbies who pick up our first TT this week.

Another female checking in, don't post to much but read a lot. Going to be full timing by the end of 2016. I travel with a partner and doggie as noted in my sig.

I lurked for a while, and still do a lot of lurking in the technical areas, where I'm learning. I'm picking up my first Class A at the end of the month, and will be soloing in it. Can't wait!
