I've become aware that several (er,ahem_ old members) have disappeared. DonW5IT, RKamperRV, and others are noticeably missing from our midst. I miss their wit and wisdom.

I'm still around Ray.

Just don't seem to have the time to get on here as much as I used to.

Since I made Lt. (almost two years ago) I find myself spending so much time on administrative stuff (Which involves computer work most of the time) that when do I have free time I don't want to sit down and spend MORE time on a computer..........

I do drop in and do some reading to catch up on whats going on. And of course see what folks I have met over the years are doin.......

Still getting out in the rig fairly often. (Once every month or so) But I find us/me going to places by ourselves away from gatherings. (Well for the most part) When I get away I want to just prop my feet up and chill out.

But unfortunately the phone is still apt to ring and I have to address something with my squad or one of my squad members. (That's the price for having the bars on my shoulder)

I leave a week from today for my next trip. I'll spend a few days at some friends place in North Texas. (Dry camping) Get some fishing in on Lake Texoma for some stripers. Do some chillin out, then go to a truck gathering in Caddo Mills, TX for Oct. 2'cnd and 3'rd. (Drive home on the 4'th)

I cook up a jambalaya each year for that club's yearly big shin-dig. This will be the tenth anniversary rally for them. I've made all of the yearly rallies they have held. (So far )

Oh yea, had to pay for TWO weddings this year.

Christina's (Oldest daughter) husband Ryan got his orders to go back to Iraq in January. Then Melissa (Middle daughter) and John informed us (Cathy and I) that we are gonna be grandparents around Easter.......

Now you are "Caught up" with what is going on in my neck of the woods. (Almost )

I think Rick (alias RKamperRV) is alive and well. He made a posting today in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Hi Don! I've missed you around here. I still remember your jambalaya from the Branson rally in 04 I think it was. Congratulations on your promotion!

Mike you are correct. But I sold out my part two years ago. I still help them out from time to time when they get stumped on a rig with a problem. But now it's back to just enjoying our rig. Which BTW is a 06 Raptor 3612DS.

Well Ray I am gonna stir up a batch of Jambalya the first weekend of October at the truck gathering.

And the Branson rally I was wagon master of was in 02. (Time flies doesn't it???? )
