leaving today for 3 days at Doheny state beach campground, Orange county CA, first time going there and read lots of mixed reviews, but a bad day camping is always better than a 12 hour night shift at work, Not to mention the severe weather warning that is posted for the next three days..

Visiting family in Zebulon, NC. Leave Monday for Cape Hatteras KOA to work for a month. Praying there are no hurricanes coming this way, but so looking forward to being at the beach for a month.

I'm runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load... I got seven women on my mind...
Oh wait.. I'm not on the road right now... I'm at my son's in Ventura, CA. Been here for a week to see him and three of my grand kids. One of my grand daughters was a dancer in many of the "Fiesta Days" events in Santa Barbara. My ex-wife, my daughter and two of my other grand kids came down from Fair Oaks, California too.
Tomorrow I leave for Rancho Oso, a Thousand Trails camp ground about 12 miles above Santa Barbara for a week, then on to Hollister Hill for a week. From there to Lake Minden, between Sacramento and Yuba City, California for three weeks and finally to see my grand daughter and grand son that I miss sooooooo badly... I'd been with my grand daughter Violette (Munchy) since the day she was born three years ago. I took care of her every day and was with her more than her mother and father combined... it was terrible when they moved back to California.... sorry I can't keep the tears away when I think of how much I miss her and my newest grand son Eben, now five month old. After she was in her new home for a couple weeks... crying she told her parents she wanted to go home to be with PeePaw (thats me.. explanation some other time) They just didn't understand, I was as much her parent as they were.
Sheesh... didn't mean to say all this... guess I just had to get it out.

We're getting ready to take off for 5 days at Seven Points COE CG near Nashville TN. It's heavily forested, has large shaded sites and the lake is beautiful. Lots of wild life and water birds to watch. We love it there. Also good phone, TV and PC reception.

Just got back from a few days at LaCygne lake in Kansas. tick count... me...nada... removed from DH who wouldn't stay on the beaten path... 6 so far found. Dog...nada, she wore protection! My only disappointment was they bulldozed the pool in. NO swimming in the lake, it has an electrical plant and the water is warm and a wildlife sanctuary. Deer so friendly they walk right by the camper! I almost felt like they would stop, look at you as if to say, "well, I'm here for my Kodak moment, let's get it done! I have grass to go eat..."

Hey Ted, how are the skeeters there? Last time we were there we left before ever setting up because we were afraid we'd loose too much blood

We are at the Ft Lewis Family Camp right now but headed to Travel Inn (K&M Resort) in Elma, WA tomorrow
