Born and raised in Upstate NY about 30 miles southeast of Buffalo. Left for 10 years and lived all over from Ohio to Idaho and Arizona to Alaska. Came back here to Western NY in 1973 and if I have to be the last person to leave so that I can turn out the lights then so be it. This is a great area and a great place to raise kids and a very well kept secret. People give me grief about our winters, but hey, it keeps the riff raff out!

My wife never understood the term "big sky Montana" until I took her there for a visit to my birth state. On the highway between Fort Benton and Great Falls you crest a low rise and all you see is blue sky and wheat fields out to the Missouri River. She was even impressed by the big spring on the Missouri by Great Falls. There is nothing like seeing a string of thunderstorms strung out along the horizon.

That is exactly what we have here! Strings of thunderstorms. Not one big one, a bunch of smaller ones. Work for an hour, stop for 30 minutes, work for an hour, stop for 30 minutes lol.

I'm originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and my wife from Oregon. We currently reside in Bozeman, MT but we are moving to Missoula this fall.

We live in the small town of Ojai (O-hi) California, I'm a third generation native, born here in 1932. The only way I will leave, other than RV-ing trips, will be in an urn. I have to convince my Daughter to come back to keep the family line going.

Well, wife and I were born and raised in St. Joseph, MO and in 1958 moved to Las Vegas, NV where we presently reside.

Insofar as we live 6.5 miles from downtown Las Vegas, not sure if we qualify for "suburbs" or "City" however I'm taking a gamble and going for "burbs."
