We stayed in Goodlettsville just outside of Nashville. Easy access to Nashville. Wherever you stay be careful driving. Nashville had the most aggressive drivers I have ever encountered. You would think in a city that gets so many visitors they would give you a break. Don't count on it, they will run over you.

Well if you think they are bad take a ride thru I-75 in Atlanta. It'll make the Nashville drivers look like the Mother Theresa driving society

Some mornings in Atlanta, I'd head to work before the rush hour. Cars would be running 75ish until they turned onto I-285 where the fast lane would be running in the 90's. They don't call GA Hwy. 400 going north through very affluent cities the 400 Autobahn for nothing.

Nashville traffic's nothing compared to many other cities. Middle TN is now a megapolis that runs from Bowling Green to Huntsville. It's just a fast growing place with a lot of construction.

Catch a lunch at the Shoney's near the Opryland Hotel and you may find some to the Opryland entertainers having lunch break there also. Years ago I had Porter Wagoner sit right behind me in a booth at lunch. In the evenings around the hotel area a lot of musicians hoping to get a chance to get noticed set up on the street corners and sidewalks and preform. Of course the different watering holes have different song styles so look around and see if you can find one that suits your taste. Every country music star has some sort of museum to check out. Hendersonville can be a nice to place to tour around in to look at the stars homes. Of course the Opryland Hotel is quite a place to look around in, like a small city. Find out who is on the bill at the Opry to see if you want to take it in.

Of course all the honky tonks on Broadway from 5th down to the river. Then at 2nd Ave hit The WildHorse and BB Kings for more music. Don't miss the Parthenon at the other end of Broadway for some more sophisticated culture.
