That's a really open ended question. Can you give us a bit more info? What are you traveling in....TT, 5-r, motorhome? Where have you already been? What do the kiddo's like to do? Are they 2 girls, 2 boys, a boy & girl? What do YOU like to do?

Yea I a little more info would help.
I will be traveling in a 35’ motorhome. The grandkids (boy and a girl) will be happy with just a pool. The wife wants something historic, themepark type, but not heavily touristy. We have been to Dollywood, Dutch Wonderland, Hershey park and frontier town. Last year I think we hit every beach from Virginia and Florida. And as far as what I’d like to do, whatever I am told.

We just got back from a 3 day stay in Chattanooga, TN. Had a blast! Several caves/caverns to see. Rock City looked like fun too. There is also a zoo and aquarium.
Savannah is a very cool place to visit. Lots of historical stuff to see. We enjoyed the haunted pub crawl the first time we visited. Also the movie "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil" was filmed there. It's also Johnny Mercer's birthplace.
Atlanta has a lot to do. Awesome zoo and aquarium. The world of Coca Cola. Historical stuff too.
Hope this helps!

Just off the top of my head: Washington DC, Colonial Williamsburg & Philadelphia all fit with what you're looking for. If you want a bit farther north & inland: Niagara Falls.

Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio on Lake Erie is great for kids! Kings Island here in Cincinnati is a great theme park as well. Mammoth Caves is just about 4 hours south of Cincinnati and is nice.

Your GKs are the perfect age to enjoy the junior ranger programs at most of the national parks and monuments. They'll learn history in a fun, semi-competitive way that most siblings enjoy. There is a vest to wear and badges to earn.

There are online activities they can do as well.

My granddaughters (8 & 10) just did Gettysburg this last weekend with their parents and loved it. There are some great RV parks closeby.

Is Branson, MO too far away? It has Silver Dollar City and lots of shows, magic shows etc that kiddos might enjoy.

You didn't mention Disney World or all the other theme parks around Orlando. St. Augustine Florida is kind of a neat place to be too. Beach and a lot of history in the area.

We've taken our grandson twice to the one in California. Great for kids 6 and 8.

Assatigue Island state park. Let them hang out with the horses.

For history, go up in NY and explore the Erie Canal.

The boys had more fun there than Disney, FWIW. Shorter lines, smaller crowds, lower prices. Just missing the big rides but the kids aren't quite into those anyway.

Forget the expensive and crowded theam parks. Take them to any State or National Park and go fishing, and then let them swim in the lake/pond/river. Take lots of pictures. They will never forget the quality time spent with grandpa and grandma.
