Where would you go -- short trip to warmer weather

So -- if you were on the East coast and wanted to take a short 5 - 7 day trip south to some warmer weather, where would you go?

I go to Florida, get on a cruise ship and head out to sea almost every October.

We recently went down to Aruba, Curacao and Turks & Caicos for $279 plus port charges for 8 nights. Cannot be beat for a vacation value.

Fortunately, we can be in Central Florida in 10 hrs. driving. It's a $200 round trip to Orlando on Southwest Airlines, however.

The Caribbean has about as good of weather as there is in the world.

Get on a plane and hit the Bahamas for that short of time.

I'd hop in my RV and drive from Tampa to the Keys. I just might do that, after the New Years celebrations are over.

If you go anywhere south of S.Carolina you'll find it rather nice and lots of RV resorts.

But remember that you have to get south of Orlando to be assured that it's going to be warm.

i've been in the snow around St. Augustine one time the first of March.

And the winter wind on the Florida Panhandle can be very frigid in Winter. It's cold there in winter.
