Question is: Why wait until you retire? No one knows the number of their days, and if we live waiting for an event that may or may not happen, we just might lose out. I believe one should live how they want, and where they want, in the here and now. I may end up with million or two dollars less in the end, but I'll have lived the life I wanted to live.

Southern New Mexico appeals to me but we own land in Oklahoma and Texas and our house is in Georgia. Wife is from Mass, I am from OK and our son lives in Las Vegas, NV and we are in the process of buying a condo there. Can't get more screwed up than this.

January till the week before Easter south Florida, Easter to June Philadelphia, June to September Maine, September to New Year Philly with some side trips to the Pocono Mts. and Ocean City MD, Then start all over again. I don't like sweating or shoveling snow. Seeing the Kids and Grandkids spring and fall. Works well for Peg and I.

Hi, I'm a few miles north of you on Pine island Fl. Where do you stay in the Poconos? We are going there in Aug. and can't seem to find a good camp ground.

It all has to do with finances. Right now we are paying on two mortgages (house and moho). You are right about our mortality, the rig we bought was owned by a retired couple that waited too long....he died three years after they bought it(at least they had that!). That's why we didn't want to wait. We are enjoying our rig now, just trying to balance between traveling and paying the bills.
