GasBuddy is nice. And you get a chance to win free gas.

I like this one:
http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx

Just type in the city & state OR the Zip and they pop up on a map.
Also, 'click & hold' and you can move over to a new portion of the map.
The lowest cost station will show up with a GREEN box, the highest in RED.

Ditto on Androids. The Gas Buddy app on a smart phone is the way to go when traveling.

its saved me about $180 so far. Matter of fact one time all the highway stations were within a penny of each other... it found a station right off the highway that was $.28/ gallon cheaper than everything else!

There is a flaw with Gas Buddy. In an effort to get "points", people post prices for diesel fuel at stations where diesel is not sold. I have been to more than a few stations where this has been the case. You can avoid this by checking the "station features" section to be sure they sell diesel fuel.

Ya know, I was wondering why a station near the house had diesel listed on Gas Buddy but the station didn't sell it. Now I know! Thanks for the tip

My iphone GPS app (coPilot Live) has a fuel price add on that works quite well.

Same with MSN I posted in post #3. When first turned on, it gives you info on stations "where you are". But you have the 'ability' to pick other locations,.. maybe I should have said.

I'm using an Android, maybe different sites work differently there, don't know.
I've used Gas Buddy for years at home with good results. I've found though that Gas Buddy gives prices all over town instead of 'my local area'. (the PART of town I'm in) I like to use MSN when I'm in an unfamiliar place because of that reason. Gas Buddy gives me the cheapest (or most expensive) fuel but it may be on the other side of town.
MSN WILL give me those prices too if I expand or move the map.

We use www.findfuelstops.com which is done by TruckMaster - obviously for trucks and done by truckers. No problem with "do they really sell diesel"? Also no dinky stations where getting 60' (coach & toad) in and out is a problem or worrying about the age and quality of fuel.....
