I was working on a project in Spain last year, stayed in a very small town with a hotel that had a nice little pub. After dinner every night I went to the bar and got something to drink. Probably tried 30-40 different type of liquor over a years time, something to look forward to. They were generous with the portions.

Deware's had a smooth taste, I also took a stroll with Johnny Walker. I like the Whiskey straight up or with a couple ice cubes.

Had my fair share of Beefeaters also.

Daughter bought me a bottle of Jefferson's Ocean Bourbon. Excellent- smooth-- I prefer it neat.- Aged aboard ship, even a slight hint of salt. Neck band indicates Voyage (#8) and bottle number.

George Dickel

Made here in Tullahoma and I think the White label is the best and barrel select is right up there.
Oh and I took the picture too, in one of their warehouse on the hill.

Happy to see this thread returned from the archives as it reminded me that I have an unopened bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label my daughter gave me to replace an empty bottle of JW Double Black. I prefer single malt Glenmorqngie with the 'standard' just fine....I've also had a wee dram (actually two) of the 12 year old at their distillery outside Tain, Scotland - sigh. We did a part of the Scottish whisky trail 3-4 years back and found that some Scotch is far from my liking and others, OK. I do not care much for Highland (Orkney Isles) - to me, kinda rough going down.

Now, and after all that said and I'm drinking likker instead of my usual bottle of beer, prefer a wee dram of John Jameson Irish or if out of that, Bushmill's or Paddy. Having been to the Jameson and Bushmill Distillery have sampled most of their line of nectars.
