I have a question:
Anyone tried COLKEGAN SINGLE MALT WHISKEY
from Santa Fe Spirits is a Mesquite smoked malt whiskey?
I tried to order it but the distributor couldn’t do it as I’m from MI.

I’m just trying to break out as I’m a bourbon drinker.
I’ll drink anything brown but my current favorites are Wild Turkey and Woodford Reserve (also, Old Grand Dad—where I started 55 yrs ago).

Hi,

I like a good bourbon myself. I've tried a lot of the upper middle class bourbons like Woodford Reserve, Four Roses 90, Basil Haden, Maker's Mark, etc. My current favorite and also less expensive is Devil's Cut by Jim Beam.

Try it...you might like it!

I like Jameson Irish Whiskey, but I've also developed a fondness for Knob Creek Straight Rye Whiskey

Happy Joe;
I tried Old Granddad with ginger ale 40 years ago. Drank it as my main bourbon for 30 years. Now I drink Makers Mark and Knob Creek. Woolford Reserve is good also. If you go through Kentucky you should check out the bourbon tour. Consists of 13 distilleries on the tour but there are plenty others through out the state. If near Bardstown, Kentucky check out the Barton 1792 distillery. Very good dtour and bourbon. All distilleries give you tastings at the end of the tours.All bourbon must be at least 51% corn thats why most bourbon is made in Kentucky. All Bourbon can be whiskey but not all whiskey can be
Bourbon. Enjoy.

Still trying to find the one.

Another vote for Islay Scotch, Lagavulin 16yr old, or for a bite, Laphroig any vintage.

Wanted to try the jeffersons aged at sea but didn't want to fork over $85 a fifth, so I went with the cheaper version. It was very good, so I will have to go and buy the aged at sea now
