Who earns extra Income on Road?
We are new to retirement, but not RV'ing. Our previous Rv"ing has been 3 day weekends, and an occasional weeks at Beach. Mostly 1 gas tank trips. Now that we have more time we ere wondering about how to earn extra income for gas tank. We don't want to commit to a season long campground for free parking, but a more mobile opportunity. Love to hear ideas.

I believe the minimum WorKamping commitment at KOA's is 4 weeks. Some of them pay a few bucks an hour as well as free campsite.

In our travels we have met a lot of people working temporary jobs for some extra income. Some register with temporary employment agencies, some work fast food joints, some with special training like nursing or accounting work short term assignments. We have also met those that work the sugar beet harvest or Amazon in the fall. We meet several folks trying to sell herbal products or vitamins, etc. but none we have met seem to be doing all that well in that. We met a fellow the other day who was selling wood carvings and signs and another who was buying/selling on ebay. Last week we met a pilot who registered with local airports and picked up charter flights when available - his DW is a travel agent.
My DW works full time as a consultant to a medical certification organization, I do a small amount of industrial consulting. The point I am trying to make is that there are any number of ways to make money while traveling. You have to find your niche and do it. Good luck.

Thanks for ideas. Sometimes you just scratch your head and say "Why didn't I think of that"".

Let's abandon this direction and get back on topic.
Thanks!

We sell our products on the web. Doesn't make a living but buys our diesel.
As long as we have a decent net connection and a post office close by.

You're going to have to decide what you want to do and where you want to visit. If you find a servce/product you can do online, you'll have more freedom as to where you can go, but you'll be paying a little extra to ensure you have dependable internet.
If you look for somethong you can work at once you arrive, you'll be more limited as to where you can go.
How about doing somethings near where you live, side jobs, and then starting a little fuel fund.
Lastly, we buy our fuel using the Pentagon Federal Credit Union credit card. It pays 5% back when you buy your fuel at the pump. It's easy to join, no fees and we save money each month. Our fuel cost for camping and routine driving is about $600.00 a month. That gives us $30.00 back a month, $360.00 a year. That's at least one trip.

One would be surprised how much my wife earns and pays for alot of the fuel by her embroidery and quilting work and she has fun doing it . Sewing
is a big part of the fuel money believe it or not you wont believe how many of the women flock around the coach and check things out unreal. Another thing speaking of fuel funds she sells at home constintly.
