We are leaving on 2/14/14 to go find warmth in the desert; somewhere around Parker, AZ or across the border in California. Wherever we can find good 4-wheeling and warm weather. Three weeks away from this frigid land we call home. (Southeast South Dakota).

Over the last few weeks I reserved 6 weeks of trips for the summer. This winter has been brutal

Still working...took 2 weeks of vacation in June, July and August. So it will be work 2, off 2, work 2, off 2.....So at my work some took all their vacation now...to sit home and watch the snow fly.

First trip is the first part of March from frozen NY to hopefully warmer FL. Will also be the first trip with the new motorhome. Traded the 24' X-lite travel trailer for the 31' Coachmen Pusuit. Talk about more room. Can't wait. Second trip will be Easter weekend camping in NY close to home.

We already had the first trip of this year planned when we put her to bed for the winter last year. Itching to go.

Hey, read your post and we are feeing the urge as well. I was looking at Porteau Cove too. Do you know what the access would be like for a Class A. I googled the area and from the photos it looks good and bad for clearances.

We plan a year in advance. Most RV parks let you rebook for the next year while you are there.

Heading to the Oregon coast for spring break next week. Will be out 7 nights. Weather should be good some of the time. Next trip shortly after, a month tour through Washington state. Can't wait to get going!
