Why is it....

musings:
why is it when you pull into a mostly empty campground the host puts you right next to someone or vice versa you're in the campground and a new person pulls in right next to you.

why is it when you're off in a corner of the casino parking lot to get out of the way for a quiet night sleep, and wake up in the morning surrounded. (is there safety in numbers??)

Why is it no matter where, when you're driving your class A you will be cut off by the teeny-tiny car. (including that lonely stretch of highway...)

Why is it no matter how carefully you stock the rv you will forget some key thing (butter, soap, towels) and then you thank heaven for Walmart.

there's always more!

Go to a movie in early afternoon.........no one in theater so you sit down center seats mid row.
Next person in will seat DIRECTLY in front of you

Go into a mens rest room..........a wall of urinals and all empty
Go to far urinal and next guy in will use the one right next to you

Go to a park mid day........wide open so you pick a spot and throw down your blanket. Just as you get comfy a family with 2 young kids will drop their stuff next to you

!!!!!!!

And if you pull into an RV park and back your rig into the spot the first time...nobody is around to see you do it.

Now if you have problems backing in and have to maneuver several times the whole park will be standing there watching. Never fails!

Why is it? Quite simply we humans are social animals that prefer company...it's hard-wired into our DNA.

Watching someone back into the ditch instead of the right spot is half the fun of rv'ing. You wouldn't want to miss that. Open the blinds and live a little.

Why do people pay big bucks to stay in a "resort" to be squeezed in between a couple on one side who sit outside under your dinette window every half hour to smoke so they don't stink up your coach while the guy on the other side chooses which music you have to listen to.
Oh well. I'm okay with it if it keeps them out of the national, state and city parks and the COE, USFS, NPS and BLM sites where I hang out.
Now, get them dang kids off my lawn.[emoji35]...[emoji39]

Ya, I know, right. An RV park with 130 spaces, 5 are occupied -side by side.. To compound that, those 5 are parked in the lowest spots in the RV park and flooded.

So they don't stink up THEIR coach, not YOUR coach.

I wish that 14 y/o geek living in his Mom's basement who's responsible for auto correct wouldn't change your word and its meaning until you get to the end of the word. Wait for a space or a punctuation mark, dang it!

Why do people with three acres of land at home go stay in a RV lot that is 30' wide?

Because we are HUNTERS and GATHERS from eons ago. So, human nature now is for us to gather in herds for self protection.

Also the real answer for all of this is "BECAUSE"!
