About 5 or 6 in. of wet heavy snow here in S. Western NY and now it's freezing rain and rain. Supposed to change back to snow later this evening. Bummer.

I retired and left all that winter stuff behind in Middletown, NY.
There is no snow or cold here in the south west.

Yup. I can verify. Been snowing steady since Sunday aft. Of course I was snowmobiling in Revelstoke, BC last weekend....so I guess I'm making the best of it still!

Last year I was headed for Texas when I checked the bank balance, and the wallet, and the gas tank, made a left turn and landed in Upstate South Carolina

Detroit, where I am very happy to say I am FROM!!!, high expected today per WDIV (CHannel 4 news) 35 degrees.. It's 76 as I type here in Pendelton.. High expected (We did not hit it) 83, with rain.. Rain, sure we had rain, 3 or 4 drops. If I'd not been unhooking to visit ye-old-dump station.. I'd have never noticed.

We needed fresh snow to cover up the crappy snow and disguise the mud.

We had a cold front blow thru Austin last night......(really) Wind gusting out of the NE this morning. Only got to 83 this afternoon (90 yesterday)
Interesting story:
Had snowbird friends over yesterday. While we sat with the a/c on, their grand kids were having a "snow day" in N. Wisc.
