Winter coming way too fast! I think it will be a tough one.

With the weather patterns we have seen up here, I have a feeling this winter is going to be long and hard. Another snow covering trees & roads today. Most of our Corn is yet to be harvested.

Have you seen a early arrival in your areas?

We went from close to 80 in October and now in the 40s. I don't think it's so much an early arrival a late start. We have maple trees that haven't started to drop their leaves. They should have all been down weeks ago.

A few cold days but the long term predictions are above average for early December. Average daytime is above freezing until January. It does not look like any major weather events before January. I would not mind 6 inches to a foot of snow for the last half of December but I'm not planning on it. That leaves me thinking we just got too used to the warm weather that was the aberration.

Have a foot of snow on the ground for 2 weeks now. Temps not even getting above freezing during the day .Looks like winter is here to stay. Just happy I got the plumbing winterized before the snow.

Here in Montana, nice and warm on Halloween, then winter released its furry over the next 3 days dumping 10 inches on us. I think it's going to be a long and cold one this year for sure!

The media needs a lot of help. We have a predicted "snow event". 2 inches might fall but the high will be 40 deg today, 41 tomorrow and 58 the next day. No real chance of any fun snow hanging around. Makes me wonder why the weather folks are panicking.

Snow pictures are pretty. I like seeing them.

Actually being there... different story altogether... no thanks...

Yup. Just got the race sleds out and into the garage to get them ready.
I have a couple sleds to parts out then I will start servicing our trail sleds.
Winter is HERE!

Long range forecast for south is dryer and warmer than normal due to El Niņo ( or Nina) forget which.
