Winter is here.....

Yup, we now have several inches covering the grass on the septic. 1-3" starting around noon through tonight. High's in the twenties. Great for the deer hunters. The local ski area (Spirit Mt.) has been making snow like crazy. They will have several runs open for Thanksgiving. Plus holding a snowmobile Sno-Cross. Means the snow blower will taste the snow tomorrow.

Our first snow just showed up day before yesterday in Coldstream, BC.
Once again, everyone forgot how to drive and chaos ensued!

How about Fairbanks last night? Fairbanks hit with record-breaking cold: 41 below - seattlepi.com

I can understand why so many Alaskans have second homes in Anacortes! The Alaskans come here to escape their winters and the folks from the desert southwest come here in the summer. Maybe a third of the homes in our development are seasonal.

"Winter is here"

You can say that again.... It was only 78* here yesterday and today it may hit only 81*. Lows are in the high 60's at night.

You just HAD to rub that in didn't you? Snow here on the balmy west coast Thursday night, still on the lawn this morning. It is a clear sunny day but quite cold by local standards. This keeps up it's going to be a long winter.

Hey folks, I'm here in Pennsylvania and today we're going to have a 60 degree day which is the way I'd like to see it stay for the winter!
I hate winter and I hate snow so how about it if all you good folks keep the snow out in your neck of the woods!

Very nice weather in Northern Illinois so far. I plow snow on the Interstate. I really hate those first few snows. Seems a lot of folks forget how to drive in the snow. I thought that at 61 I was having trouble with short term memory loss but when the first few snows arrive it seems that a good portion of the drivers have the same problems when it comes to driving on snow.

Yup, have the same short term memory problem up here about driving on snow covered roads. One foot of snow fell to the south of us. 200+ accidents on I-35. On Thanksgiving the temp is supposed to be sunny and 45°F.

I thought of y'all motoring between Seattle and Tokyo, looking down at all the white stuff.

This'll make you feel better: to the west, over the Sea of Okhotsk, Russia. Nothing but snow and ice for as far as the eye can see!

Stay warm, rest assured the next RV season is right around the corner

78 here in North Carolina. I have the a/c running. Having moved here from Upstate NY, I can say I don't miss the snow.

Yesterday we woke up to 2 inches or so of White Stuff , looked nice but needed a shovel to get around the Yard.
Last Evening the Wind came up out of the South east ,Temperature shot up from 0 C (32f) to 9 C (50f). Blew like crazy here and melted All the Snow!
Expecting another Big Blow in a couple of Days!

Yep, come to think about it...I have noticed the subtle change of seasons here in Florida. The palmetto bushes are turning a slight hue of brown and I'm having to wear my winter shorts. I am NOT however, missing the smell of plywood! Bob
