+1 on Wally-Docking. They may have traffic and noise until about midnight, but are usually quiet after that. Every truckstop I have used is noisy all night. I really don't know how the truckers do it.

I sleep usually in Flying J. I guess I'm a doing sleeper. I don't hear a thing. I think they are the safest. Also rest areas with security are good for me. I'm sure my dog will wake me if someone even tries to enter.

I haven't but some of the gang we travel and camp with will sometimes stop at the Nanaimo Costco before heading over the hump to here or before heading up north. There are a bunch of good overnight spots I've seen tourists use all the way along both 19 and 4.

My preferred overnight rest stop is in a very small rural town. I use Google Maps to navigate and will select a tiny town. Using the satellite view, I look for a church parking lot, city park or large vacant lot. Then I switch to the street view to check out the neighborhood. I sleep soundly without trucks running all night.

I suppose the only risk in some towns is they may have an ordinance that doesn't allow overnight camping outside of RV parks. Our small town has such an ordinance which will result in a knock on the door. :(

We usually stop around 4 find a place where a can open bed room and kitchen slides
relax take a good glass of wine, shower, a little nap,shoping at wallmart for little things
we can need,
we always travel during the week so less people,shoping

Since there have been post that deviate from the original #1 post parameters, I will say that Home Depot is often another choice. Most HD's have WiFi also.

Walmart...truck stops are usually noisy and many rest stops do not permint staying all night.
