No. DW and I were asked once by Wayne Newton if we wanted our picture taken with him. DW nearly fainted.

His "super hot wife" is a true Jazz Entertainer of the best sort. She is from just the other side of Mount Arrowsmith from where we live on Vancouver Island.

Dianna Krall is one of my all time favourite soloists and jazz piano players and I have been lucky enough to see her play in person.

HIJACK ALERT; Canada has spawned so many fantastic musicians. Diana Krall, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Barenaked Ladies, The Guess Who, Gordon Lightfoot, Gino Vanelli, and of course: Raffi. I salute you, my northern brothers and sisters.

You like Diana Krall too?

I was fortunate to meet many celebrities as a child, and later on in my professional life. My father and uncle and cousin worked in the motion picture and television crafts, sometimes I got to come along for a day to their work. I met the cast of Flipper and Gentle Ben when my uncle and dad worked for Ivan Tors Studios. I got to meet the cast of The Hollywood Squares when John Davidson was the host of the show when they did a week in Hollywood, Florida at the old Diplomat Hotel. When I was in college I met Lauren Bacall, as her son was a classmate of mine. While working for Armed Forces Radio and Television while in the Air Force, I met Juice Newton, Charlie Daniels, David Lee Roth of Van Halen and Tony Curtis, as well as Manfred Rommel, mayor of Stuttgart and son of General Erwin Rommel, U.S. Army Generals Fred Franks and Colin Powell. I even met Prince Bernhard of the Dutch royal family. Most of the photos I have are stills from my video work.

I found that each celebrity I met was gracious, and appreciated it when you treated them like a person instead of gushing over them. Since I was working at the time, and my work reflected upon the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. government, getting autographs was out of the question.

Don't think I will, especially if they're out and about enjoying their private life. Maybe if they're on a promotion or signing tour.

I wouldn't because I wouldn't want one. I have never idolized anyone to think they were anything more than a well know person.

If I saw Johnny Cash today I sure would because a signature from a person that is GONE would be AMAZING.

Sorry but could not resist!

I wouldn't ask. I believe that most of them want to have as normal a life as possible.

I was mistaken for a celebrity once (many many moons ago) it was interesting, a friend of mine that had WAAAAAY too much to drink started telling people in a bar that I was a certain celebrity.

The number of drunk, drooling people that bothered me was astounding, and no matter how I denied being her, people wearing beer goggles don't want to hear that.
