Would you buy an RV with no slides. POLL

Just wondering what the ratio would be of people who would buy an Mh,TT, fifth wheel etc. that didnt have at least one slide. I personally think resale without the slide would be harder. Cheers

I purposely sought out a trailer that did not have a slide.

Listening to owners complaints and seeing the screwed up sides on new units, I was concerned about buying one.

Wanting a bit shorter MH then my 30 ft Gulfstar Class C and a smoother ride then a F53 chassis, I picked up a Axis on a E450 chassis, with a rear slide.

It has a small slide, and if all else fails, I can drive it with it extended.

Have had slides in the last four MH's, with present one having four. Would not have one without slides.

Wife and I have owned 1 TT that had a slide. We will never own another RV that is not 100% usable with the slide in.

We full time and like a tiny RV. We use the TT for sleeping, cooking, bathroom, and in bad weather hanging out, working, and eating.

nope. we've had both and despite the occasional problem with the slides we'd rather have the room. our first MH was a26' 1985 Winnebago chieftain. no slides. after 4 or 5 weeks I was ready for a rubber room.

I think it completely depends on type of unit, size of unit, tow vehicle, as well as intended use. Small lightweight TT that I was trying to tow with a smaller vehicle, I might go with out slide. Larger TT or FW I would want at least one slide. MH at least two slides. However, someone that was older and wanted something super easy, may want to do with a small Class C or B with no slides to make things a little more manageable in their situation. I really think it could vary for a lot of situations and preferences.

I've had my MH for 9 years and it has 4 slides. I've only had a problem with one slide and it was an easy fix. I like the room you have with extended slides.

Airstream doesn't think it's much of a problem.

I move almost every day and like above, insist on a fully useable floorplan with slides IN. I stealth camp when possible and an extended slide is a dead giveaway. I also have little faith in the under engineered Schwintek(sp?) racks. The teeth are too small, especially being made out of aluminum, reports of failures are frequent. With my mechanical sympathy, I'd rarely extend an aluminum racked slide.

However: I travel alone and don't have to dodge someone in a single aisle.

I'm in the process of switching from a TT to a Class C and I actually see it as a selling point to buy a unit that does not have a slide. The way I see it, fewer chances for mechanical issues and less to worry about at the campsite. We've narrowed our choices to a couple of models - both do not have slides.

Slide or not to slide

Presently have 23 ft TT with no slides that is for sale. It is a little tighter than DW and I both agree on . Had a class C MH a couple years ago that had 2 slides.
Looking back we did like the extra space that it gives you.
We’ll be looking for a class A with slides for our next adventure ...

When we bought our New-to-us Southwind, we were specifically looking for a slide.

our older 2001 Mirada didn't have one, it was OK, but the slide opens things up for a little more room.

Have a 31 ft C without a slide, IMO a slide would be better, there is not alot of room at the booth/couch area
