X-TraRide Insurance Issue

Hi everyone in August 2011 we purchased a new Rockwood Travel Trailer from RV Wholesalers in Lakeview, Ohio. They sold us a X-TraRide Insurance policy along with a service contract Reimbursement Guarantee by Legacy Risk Management Inc. for the sum of $1,999.00. Our 5 years will be up this August so I started inquiring how to go about reclaiming our Guarantee Reimbursement (we have not had a claim). X-TraRide said that was a dealership deal and had nothing to do with them. I haven't been able to contact this Legacy Rick Management and have a funny feeling they are no longer. The gal that looks after this apparently at RV Wholesalers is away for a week and the no one seems to know anything. Can anyone enlighten us, thanks, Lynn

Wow that would be a neat deal if you can get money back when there is no claim. I would be really surprised if that was in the XtraRide agreement language.

Contact RV Wholesalers. They have more people there other than the lady on vacation. Get a hold of Durnell if you have too.

XTraRide Insurance

Thanks for the replies. No it is not an Xtra-Ride issue as this was a separate agreement signed at RV Wholesalers with Marketing Administrator, Legacy Risk Management offered to us by RV Wholesalers at no extra cost, it was a big selling point of buying the insurance! I also have a friend that bought a trailer one month before us and of course will be in the same situation. I will contact Durnell and see if he can enlighten me. I think we are toast but? I will keep you updated. Our insurance ends in August, thanks again, Lynn

XTraRide Insurance

Hi everyone, thanks again for the support, just spoke with General Mgr. at RV Wholesalers and he confirmed that the company they were associated with that offered this money back guarantee went bankrupt and there is no recourse, he said they had sent letters to all that were involved and apologized that we never received one, neither did our other friend whom bought the same insurance. Too bad because my husband didn't want to buy it because we have good insurance at home but it sounded like such a good deal. Old saying 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is'. Thanks again:

We got that money back deal on a Honda service policy and we did get our money back. Woman at the dealer had to check into it as nobody have ever put in a claim for it before.
