Geez, the poster was asking about the Xhose and I am interested in finding out if anyone has had one for very long and if they are good for rving use. Now we get ha ha's about grass in AZ which my brother in law has a whole back yard full of in Phoenix. Anyway I want to know about the Xhose experience of anyone who has one because it really looks ideal to carry.

I am with HamGuy. I am 65 and been drinking out of the garden hose since I was old enough to play on the water. I still will get a drink out of the hose when I am working outside, washing the rig or cars.

Know what worries me as well is the number of water regulators I see not for potable water. Most that are drinking water safe have an "LF" at the end of the model number.

Water that sets for a period of time in a hose or bronze water regulator can leech out some lead or chemicals, but I do not worry about water that is blasting through the hose.

My wife was so worried about the dog drinking out of a plastic bowl. Spent a fortune on new dishes. THEN she ran over her and killed her in the drive way. Go figure.

Just make sure you use wood seats on your toilets. The plastic ones cold kill your pets.

So did anyone figure out if the XHose can deliver potable water? Or does it cause cancer if you the smoke the grass you water with it?

I too looked into the Xhose for RV use. I could find no information on it being safe for drinking. I did find a few reviews of people who complained of them bursting and fittings coming loose. Even though my wife thinks they are cool, I decided to wait until more reviews are posted on line.

You're all wrong. It's swallowing small amounts of saliva over a long period of time that kills you.

GF bought me a similar hose that when rolled up on it's reel, flattened out. The first time I used it, it leaked at the bib connection. I re-did that with a hose clamp, and then it leaked 3' down the hose. I threw the instructions away, but I recall it said not for drinking water.
