Well they don't have the only airhead tourists, years ago a tourist in a Canadian national park , went up and kicked a bear in the butt , so it would turn around so he could get a picture.
A Canadian Park Warden ,made a fortune selling a book, with his collection of questions asked by tourists.

I don't see the problem here. We train deer to cross the roads only in certain spots, right? I see signs all over indication "Deer Crossing".

A year ago I visited the Grand Canyon. I’ve been a professional geologist since the late 1970’s but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a sense of humor. When I visited the Grand Canyon, with a very straight face, I told one of the folks manning the geology exhibit that I knew for a fact that the Grand Canyon was dug during WWII so that the military would have rocks and boulders to drop on the enemy. The poor fellow actually thought I was serious!

Really? I thought it was dug so it would present a "snap off crease" so when the "big one" comes that part will just "snap off" and float away.

I told a group from Arkansas that the rangers let the elk out every day at 4 so they would come into the campground for pictures. They said "Oh, That is so cool" LOL

You have to remember that those bears are "Federal employees" so they have vacation, holidays, sick days, personal days and early retirement.

And work many hours over the standard 40 hour week, get low salaries, and put up with hundreds of crazy people like me!

Last time we were at the bridge campground some people were yelling at the ranger because he had let a momma bear and her cubs out just as they were eating dinner outside and they ate all the dinner while they had to watch from inside their trailer. The ranger told them that there were signs everywhere about not eating or keeping food outside and the guy told the ranger that they shouldn't have picnic tables there or let the bears loose at dinner time. A couple of days later, someone else was hollering about the big dogs wandering thru the campground. We were there for 5 nites and never got to see a wolf, durn.
