12 volt system
I have a 1993 National I just changed out converter. Now my 12 volt house system will only work when hooked up to shore power. It won't work off battery or generator power. Do those two system have some place in common where they tie together. I don't really know if was working before I changed the converter

Please tell us you took pictures before you began the project-and during. Incorrect wiring has been the downfall of many electrical projects. I know of at least one electrical project where the lack of a reference led a man to drink___.
OH, back to the topic, have you checked the electrical transfer switch for proper operation? It should make a click noise when it shifts from shore power to either of the remaining two power sources.

Not sure what or where transfer switch is. This electrical system really has me confused so yes I did take pics. I am reasonably sure wiring is correct.

Trace the incoming shore power cord into your RV, this should connect to an automatic transfer switch. If the switch is not automatic, it will be a manual transfer switch or a place to remove the shore power cord-normally a plug, then plug in the genset by hand.

Two issues. First is that if the 12 volt stuff is working in shore power, the converter is working and 120 volts is getting to it.
You need to find out why that stuff don't work on battery power.
Could be a dead battery, fuse or breaker bad, or simply a battery disconnect switch off.
Second issue is that generator power is a substute for shore power. Both shore and generator power should run the converter, if the generator is working properly and in the circuit.
There will be a switch, automatic or manual, or you may need to plug the shore cord into a outlet in the compartment where the cord is stored, to get the power to the breaker box.. You may want to check on the generator itself for tripped breakers.
