194X? Zimmer TT

We keep our Newmar TT at a campground here in Northern Indiana. There are around 120 RV's kept there, most are permanent. Three of the RV's have been at this campground for decades, sold from family member to family member. I am posting asking for this Forums help determining any information or a guesstament of value for one of these venerable old boxes. The owner has passed and no family cares to be involved further. The family is considering calling a junk yard to haul away; I thought perhaps some here can say if this unit has value or not. Not much is known other than the badge says it's a "Zimmer, made im Michigan. It's thought to be from late 1940"s.
Thank you for any information.

I saw one for sale on the internet for around $900. Don't know the condition it was in but that could be a starting point. If they have access to the net you can google Zimmer Trailers and see quite a few things about them.
