I have recently inherited a 1967 Cortez. It is in great shape and I have the original owners manual including all maintenance that has been done. What I need is some information on the home itself. I am quite new to the world of motor homes and don't quite know where to start. Any info, suggestions, etc. would be greatly apreciated.

Glad to have you on the forum. Some of the vintage owners should be able to shed some light on what you have.

Hey trudginkat, Our son has a 1977 Cortez so he could tell me anything that you can think to ask. He had the engine out and overhauled the transmission, it is a olds toranado. Your engine could be a Chevy corvair engine. How many feet long is yours, does it have 12" wide tires? Their water heater is propane and also gets heated from the engine radiator water ( that ain`t gonna happen in a corvair powered one). Does it have a 6 way power driver seat?
Ken you remember Mikes gold and white MH from Salt Creek? I think his is 21 feet long.
See yall in the funnies, Warren

Hello!

You may want to join the Cortez Motorhomes Club.

If anyone else is looking for clubs, I try to keep the listing updated on my website (community page).
