Hello Everyone ! I'm jazzed, I found this forum. I just found a Great Vintage motor home. And i've got the wife into it as well. I'm loaded with ?'s. 1'st off. Where can i find an Owner's / Part's manual ? How can i I.D. my MH ? How can i I.D. the motor / drive train ? Any info. on Vintage Winnebago parts ? New & Used ?? Thank's in Advance for any Help ! Ok, Welcome to our little corner of this forum.
We need more info than what you have gave us. A base frame with engine and trans should be somewhere on that engine. In the 70's it could have Dodge, Chevy or a ford. If you can get that and a little more info on what it needs we will try to help.

Hello Dan, It's a 1970 Winnebago D-27 Chieftain, Dodge 413 ? or 440 ? Dodge Chassis. Spicer model 70 trans. I'm told there is no records older than 75'. Where on the engine are the #'s ? I need a Shop / Service manual ? Owner's manual, interior / exterior trim, lite lens's, Glove box, Cabinet door hardware, Trim parts, Dash parts ! Thank's for any Help !! Anybody know of any RV Bone yard's. Any list's available !

Try to figure out what your chassis is. When I need parts for engine, tranny, etc, I give the pats store what my van is (I have a class C built on a GMC Vandura 3500 van chassis). You should be able to use your VIN number too. I actually have a owner's manual for my "van". All the "RV" parts (AC, furnace, water pump, water heater, converter, genset, fridge, etc) have been replaced by either us or others. As far as cabinet hardware, check out sources like www.rockler.com or www.outwater.com

Thanks Lorna, Ordered the Catalogs. I do know it's a Dodge. Not sure what size the motor is ? I'm told 413 or 440 ? Where on the motor are the I.D. #'s located ? Still need a good bone yard for Winnebago ? Any body have a Micro-Fiche on the 1970 models ? Part #'s , i'm told will Help ? Is there any Vintage part's House's out there ??

I know that there is one being near You or me in Phoenix. If memory serves its called Az rv'er.Hey they may have a Manuel!! Good luck as we did! Dan

When I contacted Winnebago directly,they did a search for me and sent me to a dealer who got me into a computer file to download.
